Birthday Wishlist

I can think of nothing more wonderful than snuggling up in an old rocking chair, wrapping myself  in a crocheted wool blanket and delving into a book. Something  romantic or with talking animals to whisk me away from thoughts of paying bills, doing the washing up and other adult nonsense!

I’ve thought about getting a rocking chair for a while, but have never had the space and arguably…I still don’t. My Grandad had a battered old rocking chair and they remind me of the trip to his house each Sunday. Instead of Sunday dinner we would have cheese sandwiches cut up into 4 squares... that we pretty much inhaled so that we could go and play in the woods.

I love Creightons Chocolaterie.I’d be happy with any of their amazzzzing chocs, but have my eye on the Violet Crèmes.

Dr Bonners intrigues me. It has several uses from bog standard body washing to heavy duty cleaning, laundry, shampoo and brushing your teeth! Either way, I can't imagine anything more glorious that my entire life smelling like peppermint! Plus, the bottles look SO canny! Reminds me of a Victorian pharmacy!

A Roberts Revival radio, for lounging and listening to the radio in the garden.

Crafty little sew-and-sew!

Fabrics. The more choice the better!

You can print off templates for bunting  via Google.

I invested in some pinking shears. They were a little expensive at £16, but a necessity. Boo.

Several hours later...

and a few more hours...
Sewing the lettering was tedious, but I rewarded myself hourly with a cup of tea...with sugar!
Voila!
